Tier 01
Business Setup & Authority
Entity formation through active operating authority — with every file assembled audit-ready before your first load moves.
Starting a carrier means clearing a stack of legal, regulatory, and administrative requirements in a specific order. We turn that stack into a predictable checklist and handle the filings ourselves, so nothing stalls because a form came back incomplete.
Entity formation
We help you select and form the appropriate legal entity — LLC or corporation — based on your ownership structure, liability exposure, and tax position. From there we obtain your EIN and prepare articles of organization and operating agreements.
FMCSA operating authority
We prepare and file your authority application: USDOT number, MC number, and BOC-3 process agent designation. Accurate, complete submissions are the single biggest lever you have on time-to-authority, because incomplete applications are the most common cause of delay. We follow up directly with regulators and carriers as required.
Registrations and permits
IRP apportioned registration, IFTA licensing, and UCR registration are handled alongside VIN verification and state-level commercial vehicle registration, so your equipment is properly recorded and titled before it moves. We also prepare you for state-specific registration and tax obligations that vary by domicile.
Insurance placement
We coordinate insurance submissions, shop coverage, and manage the binding process and filings. We advise on structures designed to balance premium cost against real coverage, and flag any surety or financing prerequisites early enough that they don't hold up activation.
Policies and safety foundation
Authority alone doesn't make you compliant. This tier includes the written policies FMCSA expects to see on the shelf: driver qualification standards, drug and alcohol testing protocols, vehicle maintenance procedures, and an initial safety management plan. Everything is assembled into DOT-compliant driver and vehicle folders, ready for inspection from day one.
The 6–8 week window
FMCSA typically takes six to eight weeks to process new authority. That timeline is federal and outside anyone's control — so we run every other launch step in parallel and you dispatch the day your authority activates.
